Get Cosy with a 2-Berth Camper

Posted on 13 February 2014

Valentine's day is coming up, and what better time to contemplate a romantic getaway for two? Campervans, campers, sleepervans, 2-berth motorhomes or just vans- these vehicles are known by different names in different places but are universally an excellent option for a couple who want to see the sights of their chosen destination and  don't mind getting a little cosy in the process.

Often just converted vans, these 2-berth vehicles are the most basic of motorhomes, but what they lack in features they make up for in flexibility, convenience and price. The self-contained versions make it easy to park up and freecamp wherever it is permitted- and are more discreet than a thumping great RV! A van can go many places which a truck can't, up mountains and across one-way bridges to explore a new place up close and personal.

For a romantic holiday on a budget, you can't get much better than these. Imagine opening the door each morning whilst still in bed with your love to look over the Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand, a lake in the Canadian Rockies, the islands of Greece or the vineyards of Tuscany. The closer proximity inherent in a  smaller camper is not a problem if you are fond of your travelling partner, and the compact nature of a 2-berth is a blessing when it comes to finding the best views and places to stop and enjoy the view! The low price of a smaller vehicle is another selling point of these wonderful vans. They are widely available from almost all hire companies all over the world, and are often the most cost-effective way of travelling.
