Calgary Round Trip – 10 days
Day 1: Pick up rental vehicle in Calgary, Alberta. Explore Calgary.
Day 2: Calgary to Lake Louise (185km, 2.25 hours)
Day 3: Lake Louise to Sun Peaks Resort, British Columbia (492km, 5.5 hours)
Day 4: Explore mountain area around Sun Peaks
Day 5: Sun Peaks to Jasper (449km, 5.5 hours)
Day 6: Explore Jasper
Day 7: Jasper to Banff (288km, 3.25 hours)
Day 8: Explore Banff
Day 9: Banff to Calgary
Day 10: Depart Calgary
From the fun and exciting city of Calgary make your way to the gorgeous Lake Louise area in Banff National Park. Ski here in winter and swim in the summer, enjoying activities for all ages including spas and fine dining. A five hour drive away you will find Sun Peaks, a family friendly resort where you can park your motorhome rental and decide between a myriad of activities from taking the chairlift to the top of the mountain to shopping, spas, swimming pools and enjoying various restaurants and cafés, not to mention outdoor activities like biking and hiking. In Jasper hike up Mount Edith Cavell, take the tram for a great tour of the Canadian Rockies or head to the seriously breathtaking Athabasca Glacier. Banff is another great spot for all weather--in the summer you can hike and participate in other outdoor sports while in the winter this is a perfect spot for skiing and snowboarding. Back in Calgary you can choose to make a day trip to Prince's Island Park or, if you're in town at the right time, participate in the Stampede.
